Raul Ruiz - Head of Research

Raul graduated with a BA Economics degree and an MBA degree from the University of the Philippines, Diliman. He has a cumulative 20 years of experience as an investment analyst covering the Philippine stock market, 10 years on the buy side, with Far East Bank and Trust Company, and another 10 years on the sell side, heading securities research in Sun Hung Kai Securities, UOB Securities (Phils.) and DBP-Daiwa Securities (Phils) . Before joining RCBC Securities in June 2010, he headed business development for Africa-Israel Investments Phils., looking for, evaluating, negotiating and closing direct equity investment deals in real estate, power, toll roads, among various industries, for the Israel-based parent company.

Raul topped the Philippine Trust Institute's Trust and Investment Management Course in 1992 and audited the American Bankers' Association Trust and Investment Management Course conducted in Northwestern University, Ill. in the same year.

He has passed the requisite three Chartered Financial Analyst examinations leading to the CFA designation as of 2004.

Since 2001, Raul has also been a part-time professor of Finance at the Ateneo de Manila Graduate School of Business and of Economics at the Dela Salle Graduate School of Business. He also lectures under the Philippine Stock Exchange's Certified Securities Specialist Program.



Ann Tecson - Research Analyst

Ann graduated from Ateneo de Manila University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management Economics, minor in Financial Management. She is currently pursuing a CFA charter and has passed the CFA Level 1 examination. She worked as a financial analyst in Amalgamated Investment Bancorporation, a local investment house where she handled loan syndications and underwriting.
